June 16th - 19th

Day 1- June 16th: Four hour hike to La Corona, a community of small farmers, rich in nature. We will enjoy the kindness and joy of the local families and learn about coffee production, vegetables, fair traded and the real life of the farmers. (-/L/D)

Day 2- June 17th: Early in the morning we will start a hike of 1 ½ hour along the river Yasika. We will be able to swim in a gorgeous waterfall known only by the locals.

Transfer to Peñas Blancas Nature Reserve.

After lunch we will hike for about 3 hours through varied vegetation, where you can enjoy abundant water sources, the sanctuary of the giant trees and the impressive waterfall Arcoíris with its more than 90 meters of height. (B/L/D)

Day 3- June 18th: In the morning after breakfast, get ready for an intense 3 hour hike to the top and core of the reserve where we set up our camp, to live an unforgettable experience in the jungle surrounded by virgin forest and an incredible variety of flora and fauna of the tropical cloud forest. At night we walk in search of nocturnal mammals and reptiles. (B/L/D)

Day 4- June 19th: Last day we start our way back to the community with an adventurous hike of 3 hours. After lunch we will return to Matagalpa, where our tour ends. (B/L/-)
