Day 1 The highlands (-/-/D)
Our driver will meet you upon arrival at the international airport in Managua. Drive to Matagalpa (2 hours). Introduction and general information about the country will be given by a Matagalpa Tours' representative.

Day 2 The world of coffee (B/L/-)
Discover the process behind a great cup of coffee on a guided tour in a local community near Matagalpa. A local family will welcome you to talk and show you the process, international market, quality and pros and cons of the harvest. You will also share a delicious lunch, cooked by the local family.

Day 3 Art, pottery and sightseeing spots (B)
On your way to Granada (2.5 hours) you will visit the charming Pueblos Blancos in the Masaya province. Catarina is one of the favorite destinations, as it has an incredible view of the crater lagoon “Apoyo” and Lake Nicaragua. You will continue towards San Juan de Oriente, where almost every inhabitant is talented on making pottery with the pre-columbian techniques.
The active “Masaya” volcano will also be part of your day activities. You will drive all the way to the top to witness a spectacular show of smoke and the bubbling lava waterfall inside of its crater.

Day 4 History and kayak in Granada (B)
Granada is not to be missed, it is a beautiful colonial city located on the shore of lake Nicaragua. The city awaits for you to discover its enchanting architecture and history. You will also have the opportunity of kayaking around some of the islets in lake Nicaragua formed by the last eruption of the Mombacho volcano.

Day 5 Precolumbian art -Ometepe Island (B)
Ometepe with its two outstanding volcanoes and multiple relaxing places, is your next destination on this beautiful journey. You will be transferred to San Jorge (1.45 hour) where you will take the ferry to Ometepe island.
A local guide and driver will take you to one of the greatest collection of Pre-columbian art, found in Ometepe Island and a complete collection of all the currency in Nicaragua's history.

Day 6 Exploring Ometepe (B)
Ometepe has agreat variation of natural attractions. Today you will tour around the island visiting places to relax and swim, historical sites such as museums and a gorgeous places where to witness the sunset and a lovely view of the San Cristobal active volcano.

Day 7 Chill day (B)
We'll leave this day up to you. You can either take an extreme hike up to any of the volcanoes or a soft one in the area or just relax by the beach near your hotel.

Day 8 San Juan del Sur (B)
Today you will be heading to San Juan del sur, one of the “must go” destinations in Nicaragua. You will be staying at Playa El Coco, a tranquil and beautiful beach that is also near the La Flor refuge where massive turtle arribadas take place. At night, a local guide will come to take you to La Flor and luckily experience this spectacle of nature spotting from one, to thousands of Olive Ridley sea turtles as they arrive at the beach to lay their eggs.
Note: Arribadas peak between September – December, during the Crescent and last quarter moon.

Day 9 San Juan del Sur
You will have your day to enjoy the beach and tranquility of the place. At night you will visit again La Flor refuge to increase the opportunity of seeing the arribadas of the Olive Ridley Sea Turtle.

Day 10 Corn Island
You will be transferred to the international airport to take the afternoon flight to the Corn Island. This tropical paradise surrounded by white beaches is a great way to end the trip. We'll let you discover this gorgeous island, depending on your interest, you can keep yourself active with snorkeling, diving, swimming or just relaxing by the beautiful beaches.

Day 11 Corn Island
Little Corn Island is place that should not be missed, also great for nice snorkel and diving. A boat can be taken in the morning and return in the afternoon to the Big Corn.

Day 12 Corn Island
The Corn Islands are perfect for the activities in the water but they are also a place with incredible history and culture. Artisanal fishing could be a great way of learning local techniques and getting to know more about the locals.

Day 13 Managua
You will fly out the Corn Island in the afternoon, you will be transferred to a near by hotel.
