Reservation Policy

  • How to Make a Reservation: You can secure a reservation with Matagalpa Tours through the following methods:
    • Online: Via the Service Request Form on our website.

  • Response Time: If you make your reservation request via email, you can expect a response within 24 hours on weekdays. On weekends, responses may take up to 48 hours.

Please note: Your reservation will only be confirmed once the initial payment has been received.

  • Booking Confirmation: Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation email with a document outlining all the services included in your reservation. Please review this document carefully.

     

  • Payment Terms: If the required payment is not received by the specified deadline, we cannot guarantee your reservation. Refer to our Payment Policy for more detailed information.

Payment Policy

Payment Terms:

  • Day Tours, Transportation, and Hotel Reservations: Full payment (100%) is required at the time of service confirmation.

  • Groups and Packages: A 50% deposit is required upon confirmation of the service. The remaining 50% must be paid at least one month prior to the scheduled tour or service date.

Matagalpa Tours reserves the right to cancel or resell any tour space if the final payment is not received by the due date, with prior notice to the customer. If a deposit has been made, our cancellation and refund policies (see Section 3 and 4) will apply.

Matagalpa Tours also reserves the right to refuse or accept any participant in any tour, at our discretion.

Accepted Payment Methods:

  • Online Payments: To ensure maximum security and peace of mind, Matagalpa Tours offers its own secure Online Payment System, free from intermediaries. Our system uses advanced security technology (HTTPS protocol with 128-bit encryption), ensuring that only our bank has access to your payment information.

  • Credit / Debit Cards: We accept major credit and debit cards, including American Express, Discover Network, Diners Club International, JCB, MasterCard, and Visa.

  • Direct Deposit or Electronic Transfer: If you choose to pay by direct deposit or electronic transfer from a savings account, please ensure that the deposit slip includes your name. After making the deposit, email us a scanned copy of the deposit slip along with a description of the reserved services at info@matagalpatours.com. Before making the deposit, please contact us to request the necessary savings account information.

Service Cancellation Policy: Please note that cancellations will incur a fee to cover operational expenses and handling costs.

For Groups and Packages / Hotel Bookings: 

  • If canceled 30 days or more prior to the service date, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total cost.

  • If canceled within 30 days of the service date, the cancellation fee is 100%.

For Full-Day Tours and Transportation:

  • If canceled 30 days or more in advance, the cancellation fee is 50%.

  • If canceled within 24 hours of the service date, the cancellation fee is 100%.

  • Late Cancellations: If you cancel less than 24 hours before the service, no refund will be provided, and you will be responsible for the full cost of the service.

Refund Policy: Refunds will be processed according to the payment method used:

  • If the payment was made via credit/debit card, the refund will be credited to the same card.

  • If the payment was made via direct deposit, the refund will be issued back to your bank account.

Refunds may be subject to administrative fees depending on the timing of the cancellation and the policies of third-party suppliers, such as hotels or service providers. These fees will be deducted from the refund amount.
