Day 1 Airport pick and transfer to León
Our guide and driver will welcome you at the international airport in Managua, on the way to the city León you will be given instructions and will also go through the itinerary to answer any possible question about the itinerary. You will have dinner in a local restaurant in León.

Day 2 Colonial city and mangroves
The city of León is one of the most gorgeous cities in the country, with awe-inspiring sites, such as its imposing cathedral, art and history museums and overall its general architecture. This day we will tour around some of the most representative places in town and later we will head towards the coast where we will have the opportunity of enjoying incredible ecosystem of the mangrove forest in the Island Juan Venado.

Day 3 Cerro Negro adventure
One of the biggest attractions of León are its volcanoes, specially Cerro Negro, as it is easy to hike and kind of fast to get back down. This day we will hike for nearly an hour to the top. Once there, we will have an incredible view of the countryside and other volcanoes that surround the area. It is optional to carry a board to the top and let the adrenaline cover all of your body as you slide down the volcano.

Day 4 Matagalpa & the weaving community of El Chile
We drive for 2.5 hours to the city of Matagalpa, on the way we will stop briefly by the boiling mud pools of San Jacinto.
Matagalpa is quiet a small and enchanting town. We will have a guided city tour in which we will discover the history, some hidden sides of the culture, a bit of gastronomy and a wonderful look out point. After a well deserved lunch we will head to the indigenous community of El Chile, we will meet a group of women that have become ambassadors of one of the most representative community traditions: weaving.

Day 5 Unveiling what's behind a great cup of coffee.
An authentic and informative experience at a coffee plantation and with a local family is what will make the difference when you have your next cup of coffee. We will learn about the whole process from seed to cup in a traditional Nicaraguan way and we will share lunch with a local family at their house. To finish the day we will visit La Bujona waterfall in the next neighboring community.

Day 6 Active volcano and the white towns of Masaya
Morning hike around the trails of Cerro El Arenal which houses incredible fauna and flora in its cloud forest. We will be heading towards the city of Granada and on the way we will visit the San Juan de Oriente where its talented people will show you the pre-columbian techniques of making pottery. moreover we stop by Catarina which has one breathtaking view over Apoyo lagoon. We will also drive to the top of the impressive Masaya volcano which has performed a lot of activity lately.

Day 7 City tour and kayak
Granada is a “must see” in Nicaragua, as it is one of the first founded cities in Central America by the Spaniards. Its architecture, dramatic history and location make of it “the tourism capital of Nicaragua” We will tour around the city and afterwards we will kayak in lake Nicaragua around some of the islets formed by the last eruption of Mombacho volcano.

Day 8 Cloud forest and stunning view
At the very the top of the inactive volcano “Mombacho” remains a lush cloud forest which we will explore during the day. The forest itself is so beautiful and super diverse but also being located in the highest points of the volcano, it simply give the opportunity of having stunning views above the Nicaraguan lake.

Day 9 Flight back home
Our guide and driver will take you back to the international airport.
