The Tuma River is originated in the Apanás Lake and it is one of the most famous ones in the country. On its way to the Caribbean see it turns into the Río Grande de Matagalpa. We will paddle for about 15 km along this river and the time will depend on the water level. This varies from 3 till 5 hours.
We start our adventure in the small town of El Tuma-La Dalia. The rapids change along the way and the levels are often 2-3 and in some cases even 4. The adventure contains adrenaline but also enjoying the natural beauty of the river, where different fauna can be seen.
